What personal data we collect and why we collect it

General

The privacy statement is about how this website collects and uses visitor information. The Statement contains information that you are entitled to when collecting information from our site and general information about how we process personal information. The legal owner of the website is responsible for the business’s processing of personal data. It is voluntary for those who visit the website to provide personal information in connection with services such as receiving newsletters and using the sharing and tip service. The basis of treatment is the consent of the individual, unless otherwise specified

1. Web analytics and cookies

As an important part of the effort to create a user-friendly website, we look at the user pattern of those who visit the site. To analyze the information, we use the Google Analytics analytics tool. Google Analytics and Facebook uses cookies (small text files that the site stores on the user’s computer), which record the user’s IP address and provide information about the individual user’s movements online. Examples of what the statistics give us are; how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, which websites the users come from and which browsers are used.

None of the cookies allow us to link information about your use of the site to you as an individual. The information collected by Google Analytics and Facebook is stored on there servers. Information received is subject to Google’s and Facebook’s Privacy Policy. An IP address is defined as a personal information because it can be traced back to a specific hardware and thus to an individual. We use Google Analytics tracking code which anonymizes the IP address before the information is stored and processed by Google and Facebook. Thus, the stored IP address cannot be used to identify the individual user.

2. Search

If the website has search functionality, it stores information about which keywords users use in Google Analytics. The purpose of the storage is to make our information available better. Search usage patterns are stored in aggregate form. Only the keyword is stored and cannot be linked to other user information such as IP addresses.

3. The share / tips service

The “Share with others” feature can be used to redirect links to the site via email, or to share the content of social networking communities. Tips information is not logged with us, but is used only occasionally to post the tip to the online community. However, we cannot guarantee that the online community will not log this information. All such services should therefore be used wisely. If you use the e-mail feature, we will only use the specified e-mail addresses to forward the message without any storage.

4. Newsletter

The website can send out newsletters via email if you have registered to receive this. In order for us to send e-mail, you must register an e-mail address. Mailchimp is the data processor for the newsletter. The email address is stored in a separate database, is not shared with others and is deleted when you cancel your subscription. The email address is also deleted if we receive feedback that it is not active.

5. Registration form

The website may have a registration form, contact form or other form. These forms are made available to the public to perform the tasks they are intended to do. The registration form is for visitors to register. Contact form is for visitors to easily send a message to the website’s contact person. We then ask for the name of the sender and contact information for this person. Personal information we receive is not used for any purpose other than to respond to the inquiry. Forms are sent via email via Gsuite as a third-party solution

6. Page and service functionality

Cookies are used in the operation and presentation of data from websites. Such cookies may contain language code information for the user selected language. For services that require login or search, cookies may be used to ensure that the service presents data to the right recipient.

7. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

8. How to handle cookies in your browser
